Firefox now on Haiku!

Since yesterday, Firefox is officially available on Haiku Depot 64 bits under the IceWeasel name.

This is a great news for all the people looking for a modern web browser.

Thanks to the big effort from the Haiku community, and especially Kenz, after more than a year of hard work, Firefox ESR 128.5.0 is now officially available on Haiku Depot for 64 bits systems.

If you would like to install it, just update your system before :

pkgman full-sync

Then under Haiku Depot, type "Iceweasel" and proceed with install :

You should be able to launch "Iceweasel" via the applications menu and enjoy your favorite websites :

Having version 128.5.0 indicates that Haiku now supports a modern and up-to-date browsing experience, crucial for compatibility with current web standards and security protocols :

This milestone demonstrates the growing maturity of Haiku as a viable alternative operating system.

Don't hesitate to report any problems or bugs as this is the first version available on Haiku.
