Bubble Bobble is a platform game developed by Taito which was released in the 1980's on many consoles and computers.
It's possible to play to it on Haiku via the retrogaming possibilities offered on this OS.
As a reminder, you must own a legal copy of the game to have the right to do some retrogaming with it.
We will suppose you have already setup your Haiku system to do retrogaming.

Now copy the ROM in your “/boot/home/ROMs/nes” folder :
Then install the "mesen_libretro" package to have the NES system recognized under RetroArch :
You can launch Emulation Station Desktop Edition and go into the main menu :
Select "Scraper > Scrape these systems" :
Select "Nintendo Entertainment System" :
Use "Back" and then select "Start" :
You should see the below scrapping retrieving media for Bubble Bobble :
Go back to the Nintendo Entertainment System :
Select Bubble Bobble and select the "X" control in order to view media :

The aim is to kill all the enemies in each level by blowing bubbles on them and just after that jumping to have the kill effective :
This platform game can be played with two players and is quite fun. In case you have lost all your lives, the game over is not really the end :
